THE INFAMOUS TIMES VOL. 1: THE ORIGINAL 50 CENT

DVD IN STORES MARCH 8

(Vision Plant Pictures / Czar Entertainment)

Maybe this is what Chuck D was talking about when he said hip-hop was the black CNN. Billed as urban 20/20, the Infamous Times, the creation of the music industry vets, Tone Boots, Griff, and manager extraordinaire Jimmy Henchman, aims to be an “explicit expose of gangsters, hoods and decadent frills of street life across America.” Boasting the press credentials of hip-hop writer/host Bonz Malone, CZAR Entertainment are gunning to up the ante in the thug-life documentary game.

The series that goes behind the scenes of the world of hip-hop, THE INFAMOUS TIMES, premieres with THE ORIGINAL 50 CENT. 50 Cent may be a multi-platinum rap superstar, but he wasn't the first man to take the now-famous moniker. THE INFAMOUS TIMES uncovers the story of the first man to use the name, a street criminal who became well-known and whose persona was adopted by the rapper.

CAST: Features extensive appearances & interviews with rap stars 50 Cent, Eric B, M-1 from Dead Prez and The Game. Hosted by VIBE personality and journalist Bonz Malone. Narrated by urban legend, Branson.
