At Orlando Florida Guide, we work our tails off promoting Orlando and the State of Florida. I don't know that we'll ever touch what Jimmy Buffett has done for the tourism industry in the Sunshine State. As he said during the concert, music is the language of the world. And he's spread the word about our great state for years.
He came on Monday and shook the foundation of TD Waterhouse Arena in front of a packed house of Parrotheads. It gave Downtown Orlando more of a feel of The Conch Republic than the land of tourist attractions.
I don't care if you're a big fan of Buffett or not. This guy puts on one of the finest shows I've seen. Donned in blue shorts, a blue T-shirt and bare feet … Jimmy sang, danced and jammed w/ the Coral Reefer band for three hours. And I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face if I wanted to.
Going to a Buffett concert is a lot like going to a fantastic beach party that you don't want to end until the sun comes up. Beach balls were bopping around like they were in a human popcorn machine. And it got even better when the dancers brought out five foot long inflatable sharks during FINS. You remember THE BLUES BROTHERS movie when they play in Kokomo, Indiana as The Good Ole Boys with the beer bottles bashing the chicken wire? Well, the beach balls were flying onto stage about like that. It was too much fun.

Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band ended their tour the following evening
in Miami, Florida. They start their Tiki TimeTour soon promoting their
new album. Take a date, your wife, the family, whoever … just make
sure you buy the tickets the day they go on sale. They'll sell out quickly.
And if you can't make it to one of his concerts, you can always get a feel of one at Margaritaville at Universal Studios CityWalk and enjoy a Cheeseburger in Paradise. Maybe you'll see us there and we'll swap pirate stories and enjoy some rum.
