Marc Broussard Bio
Marc Broussard is a 21-year-old Louisiana native of Cajun descent. He is a gifted guitarist and passionate performer who first took the stage at age five when he joined his father, Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist and member of the New Orleans R&B group Boogie Kings, Ted Broussard, to belt out "Johnnie B. Goode." A powerful vocalist with soulful, R&B riffs and a distinctive sound reminiscent of Motown's greatest, Marc Broussard is an artist who is poised to burst onto the national music scene. In 2002, Broussard independently recorded and released his debut CD, Momentary Setback, which has received rave reviews. A number of noteworthy musicians join Broussard on the disc including Dave Ransom (bass); who currently plays bass with John Hiatt and Sonny Landreth, David Egan (piano / songwriter); who penned songs for Percy Sledge and Etta James, as well as Tony Daigle (engineer); a Grammy®-Winner for his production work with B.B. King and Beausoliel. Marc Broussard is a stunning live performer and this year audiences across America had the chance to experience Marc firsthand. 2003 found Broussard on a packed touring schedule with such established artists as moe., Bob Schneider, Maroon 5 and O.A.R. Marc continues to tour in 2003 and will be headlining a market near you!
