Rick Springfield at the House of Blues - Orlando, FL.

I have to admit I am a fan of Rick Springfield. I've always like his music and when I was a kid I would rush home from school to watch him play Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital. Now that I have dated myself, I will get on with the review of tonight's show.
Performing
in front of a very enthusiastic sold out crowd at House of Blues in Lake
Buena Vista, FL.
Rick Springfield started the show off with a bang playing the single "Affair
of the Heart" from his "Living in Oz" album. Rick was dancing
around the stage and played a pretty mean guitar too. I always felt Rick
was underrated as a guitar player and this concert showed how well he
jams on the guitar. His vocals always his strongsuit never sounded better.
Rick's stage presence was as good as any performer I've seen.
A few songs into the show several fans gave Rick flowers and he graciously accepted all of them and even asked a couple of fans to come on stage and dance with him.
Rick played all of his hits and the highlight of the show was when he played one of my all time favorite songs, "Jesse's Girl" which had every person in the crowd singing the words and every person on the floor dancing to them. This timeless classic was made to be played live.
With the enthusiasm he displayed in tonight's show its hard to believe Rick Springfield been rocking for over twenty years. Tonight he showed an energy level an 18 year old couldn't match. Rick's performance along with some very nice lighting and outstanding acoustics at the House of Blues made this concert one worth remembering. I'm sure everyone at the show would agree with me.

Rick is really awesome in concert. I went for the first time on May 7, 2004 in Milwaukee WI and had waited for 15-20 years and could never get to see him and I finally made it and let me tell you it was worth every minute that i waited. He really seems to get personal with his fans the way he talks to them and comes out into the audience and lets you on stage. I loved it. I have to say being on stage with him was the best night of my life. I have my best friend Dawn F. to thank for it all.
