ROLLING STONE and MTV HAVE JUST NAMED S.T.U.N.
ONE OF THE “10 ARTISTS 2 WATCH!!!”

Don’t know how you plan to cover this Summer’s Warped Tour, but I hope you’ll consider including my new, very hot band, S.T.U.N. S.T.U.N.’s live show is explosive and unpredictable, just what punk/rock used to be about, and the initial press and fan reaction to the band has been incredible. I know there are so many bands to see at Warped, and while it’s great to catch faves like Glassjaw or Rancid, S.T.U.N. is an up-and-coming band that should not be missed! Please email me back for a S.T.U.N. press kit, a copy of their just-released debut CD "Evolution of Energy," and to get more info on concert reviewers’ tix, photo pass, or arranging a telephone or in-person interview. Thanks so much!

BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES
AND PREPARE YOURSELF FOR S.T.U.N.
Orlando/Van's Warped Tour Date Set

S.T.U.N. - just named by Rolling Stone and MTV as one of the “10 Artists 2 Watch” - will invade Orlando, FL on Thursday, July 24 when the Van's Warped Tour comes to Central Florida Fairgrounds (S.T.U.N. will play the festival's Maurice Stage in the mid-afternoon, giving concert-goers a great reason to arrive early!!). S.T.U.N.'s debut album hasn't even been released yet, and already there is a huge buzz on them, due in great part to the band's anything-goes, explosive live performances.

Take the lyrical integrity of The Clash, combine it with the high-energy, fearless sensibilities of Jane's Addiction, and you've got an idea what S.T.U.N. is about. S.T.U.N.’s debut album for Geffen Records, "Evolution of Energy," was released on June 24.

S.T.U.N. -- an acronym for Scream Toward the Uprising of Non-Conformity -- is a band that has a lot to say and won't stand for anyone getting in their way to say it. They are totally unified in delivering their message both through their lyrics and their music, tackling topics such as the Government’s mental privacy invasion, the healing power that holding onto your self-determination will provide, or the hypnotic ease of falling into the trap of blind compliance. According to guitarist/songwriter Neil Spies, “When I grew up, every effort was used to force me to comply with the thought process that whoever was in authority was right, – and that’s rarely the truth. We’re here to prove that if you are brave enough to fight adversity for what you believe in, that you will have your own message to send that will enlighten the world.”

S.T.U.N. - Spies, Christiane J. (lead vocals), Nick S. (bass) and Bobby Alt (drums) - worked with producer Sean Slade (Radiohead, Hole, Sebadoh, Circle Jerks, Boo Radleys) on "Evolution of Energy" and uber-mixers Paul Kolderie (Pixies, Billy Bragg, Kristen Hersh) and Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Jeff Buckley, System of a Down).

S.T.U.N. is political, thought provoking, enemies of judgment, allies of the abnormal, and equally entertaining. Their live shows have been described as "sensory overload" or as Neil describes it "Love and Chaos." Some of their early notices rave "S.T.U.N. kicked ass last night...the lead singer is a madman who climbed up the amps in an attempt to gain entry into the venue's air ducts...'S.T.U.N.' spelled backwards is '.N.U.T.S' and if it weren't for their sometimes profound lyrics, "nuts' would aptly describe them...keep an eye on this band..."
