Erick Sermon Signs With Universal - Motown Records

New CD Slated For Spring 2004

NEW YORK, Dec. 11 (PRNewswire) -- Universal/Motown Records and rap pioneer Erick Sermon join forces. Erick Sermon also known as the "Green Eyed Bandit," recently became the label's newest signee. His debut CD is expected in stores spring of 2004.

Erick Sermon first introduced himself to the music world as one half of the legendary rap duo EPMD ("Erick and Parrish (Smith) Making Dollars"). The duo created the hip-hop classic song, "It's My Thang," and 5 gold certified CDs: Strictly Business, Unfinished Business, Business Never Personal and Back In Business. The Green Eyed Bandit went on to become a sought after producer. He's produced hits for such artists as, En Vogue, Blackstreet, Redman, D'Angelo and others.

Sermon was also one third of the rap supergroup Def Squad, comprised of Keith Murray and Redman. As a solo artist, he's released three CDs, No Pressure, (1994) Music, (2001) and React, (2002) that spawned the hit title singles, "Music" and "React."
