J
Records' Gavin DeGraw Tags the Road ...You're It with First Headlining
Tour; The Acclaimed Newcomer Will Also Join Barenaked Ladies on Tour in
Feb-March
NEW
YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 2003--J Records' recording artist, Gavin
DeGraw is making the road his new home with three tours lined up for 2004.
He will kick off the new year headlining his own dates starting January
17th on the heels of his second single, "I Don't Wanna Be" which
impacts radio on February 9th. The single has already been creating a
buzz on its own after being picked as the theme song for the new WB hit,
One Tree Hill. His next set of tour dates will be supporting the Barenaked
Ladies in late winter and then jumping on the Virgin College tour with
label-mates Maroon5 and Atlantic's Joe Firstman in the spring.
Gavin's debut album, Chariot was released in May 2008 and introduced
the world to a vital singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist whose abundant
talent and charisma were already well known to New York club-goers. The
11-song collection is a remarkably accomplished and compelling first effort,
offering the same combination of raw emotion and eloquent songcraft that
originally drew fans to the 26-year-old's live shows for the past few
years. In a remarkably short time, DeGraw's effortlessly intimate, emotionally
intense live performances and major national television appearances such
as Good Morning America, The Sharon Osbourne Show, Last Call With Carson
Daly, Pepsi Smash, Saturday Early show and many others has helped him
create a strong fan base throughout the country. Chariot debuted in the
top ten on the Billboard's Heatseekers chart and continues to sell steadily
each week.
