Westwood One, The Official GRAMMY(R) Radio Network Worldwide, Announces Exclusive Radio Coverage of The 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards NEW YORK, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Westwood One and The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (The Recording Academy(R)) are proud to announce that Westwood One, The Official GRAMMY(R) Radio Network Worldwide, will provide exclusive worldwide radio coverage of the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Coverage includes: the GRAMMY nominee announcement, "Look Back" specials, nominations specials, a live remote broadcast and a simulcast of the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards, February 8, 2004 from the STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles. Coverage began Thursday, December 4, 2003 with the announcement of the GRAMMY nominees from the Academy's widely attended press conference at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Friday, January 9 through Sunday, January 11, 2004 and/or Friday, January 16 through Sunday, January 18, Westwood One will take A Look Back at the GRAMMYs with exclusive 2-hour format specific specials featuring highlights from past GRAMMY Awards shows. Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1, 2004, Westwood One will present six 2- hour format specific GRAMMY nomination specials for CHR, Alternative, Hot AC, Urban, Classic Rock and Country formats. Coverage continues Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, 2004, when Westwood One will present Backstage At The GRAMMYs, a special multi-station remote broadcast event live from the backstage area of the STAPLES Center comprised of 25 radio stations from top markets across America and 16 international radio stations representing 14 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, South America and Mexico. The GRAMMY program line-up will culminate the week of the awards show with exclusive backstage coverage and interviews leading up to the broadcast of the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 8, 2004 from 8:00 - 11:30 p.m. (EST & PST) from the STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles.
