Iann Robinson Free From MTV

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6, 2004 (PRNewswire) - Suzi Reynolds & Associates, management for MTV News personality, Iann Robinson, has announced that an agreement has been reached between Robinson and the network. The deal frees Robinson of his daily news duties on MTV so he can pursue independent projects. Robinson will remain a member of the "extended MTV family" and may return for special projects in the future.

A walking pop culture encyclopedia with punk rock roots, Robinson established himself at MTV as the funny and frank straight shooting reporter, which earned him the "It" moniker in Entertainment Weekly's 2002 "It" issue. His irreverent commentary, interviews and former MTV series "The Assignment with Iann Robinson" also garnered him a large and loyal following that looks to him as the voice of every fan passionate about music, movies and TV. Says Robinson, "MTV gave me a great foundation and awesome experience. But now I'm really psyched to develop my own projects for TV, music and film. A book is already in the works. I have a great team behind me and we have some really cool stuff coming up in 2004."
