Fuse
Presents A Perfect Circle's 2004 US Headline Tour
Co-founder
Billy Howerdel to Announce the Exclusive Media Partnership and Tour Dates
Live on Fuse
NEW
YORK, Jan. 7, 2004 (PRNewswire) -- A Perfect Circle announced today that
Fuse, the only viewer driven, all-music network, will be the exclusive
television media partner for the band's 2004 U.S. headline tour. The band's
guitarist Billy Howerdel will announce the tour and sponsorship via a
live call-in on Fuse's signature daily show IMX: Interactive Music Exchange.
Celebrated
by Rolling Stone as "that rare supergroup ... of veteran musicians
that actually adds up to more, not less, than the sum of its parts,"
multi-platinum recording artists A Perfect Circle is comprised of core
members Maynard James Keenan (singer), Billy Howerdel (guitarist), James
Iha (guitarist), bassist Jeordie Orsborne White, and drummer Josh Freese.
The Miami Herald hailed the band's interaction onstage as "the best
chemistry was between the band and audience, who left with ringing ears
and dripping clothes after a show that was worth every drop." Exclusively
presented by Fuse in conjunction with local promoters, A Perfect Circle
takes a giant step with their first major market headlining U.S. arena
tour. Grounded in Fuse's commitment to music and fan feedback, the multifaceted
partnership will feature on-air and online interactive elements, including
artist-dedicated sites, viewer contests and streamed interviews.
A
Perfect Circle's co-founder, writer and producer Billy Howerdel said,
"We're excited to have Fuse behind us for our upcoming US tour. The
network's pro-active interaction with the fans will make the live experience
for us even more exciting."
"Partnering
with A Perfect Circle's first major market headlining tour brings Fuse's
commitment to music alive for the fans," said Marc Juris, President
of Fuse. "Few artists have the power to connect with their audiences
as deeply as A Perfect Circle, and Fuse is proud to help bring their stand-out
performances to legions of music lovers in the upcoming months."
"By
sponsoring A Perfect Circle's 2004 US tour, Fuse underscores its promise
to rule-breaking, innovative strategic partnerships that support critical
artists not generally supported by the mainstream," said Mary Corigliano,
Vice President of Marketing at Fuse. "This tour is about ultimately
giving music fans experiences and opportunities they cannot get anywhere
else."

About
A Perfect Circle
A
Perfect Circle is touring on the strength of a massive single and video,
"Weak and Powerless." It is the first #1 Modern Rock and #1
Active Rock radio hit from their extraordinary second album, THIRTEENTH
STEP, described by The San Diego Union-Tribune as "dynamic, engaging
and powerful." The darkly textured collection of songs, a thematic
exploration of addiction was praised in Entertainment Weekly for its "winding,
off-kilter rhythms and contrapuntal guitar riffs." A second single,
"The Outsider," is already gathering spins and audience reach.
"THIRTEENTH STEP is a great album," states The Orlando Sentinel,
"one of the best out right now."
