YORK, NY - January 7, 2004 Following in the footsteps of their Top 10 alternative/rock radio smash Bottom of a Bottle, Smile Empty Soul's second single Nowhere Kids is beginning its' climb up the charts as well. The companion video, a sensitive and shocking portrayal of the plight of many adolescents, has been officially added to both MTV2 and Fuse. These channels have been the breaking ground of many a successful rock band including Coldplay, Dashboard Confessional, and A.F.I. Smile Empty Soul are gaining notoriety for their uncompromising live show. Their high-octane performance, combined with massive radio support, has garnered legions of dedicated fans nationwide. Smile Empty Soul are vocalist/lyricist Sean Danielsen, bassist Ryan Martin and drummer Derek Gledhill. The band formed in 1999 and regularly performed locally in Santa Clarita and on the Sunset Strip. The guys signed with Thro Back Records in 2001 and began working on what would become their debut album. The album was recorded by producer John Lewis Parker and recorded at Suburban Hell studios in California.
