Viewers to Decide America's Best and Worst Commercials During 'The Big Game' on February 1, 2004.

ADBOWL® Is Launched for the Professional Football Championship; Research Indicates 2 Out of 5 Viewers Tune in for the Commercials

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ - McKee Wallwork Henderson, one of the nation's fastest growing advertising agencies, announces ADBOWL® IV, the real-time, interactive advertising ranking system for consumers. Powered by FatCow Web Hosting, the Southwest's largest hosting provider, the ADBOWL will debut during the championship football game on February 1. Viewers can judge the commercials by casting votes for their favorite ads on ADBOWL.com. America's favorite commercials will be announced at the end of the game.

"The commercials have become a competition unto itself and are now as much anticipated as the big game. As a pop-culture phenomenon, they are the most talked about ads of the year. "The ADBOWL is an accurate analysis of commercials during the championship football game because the winners and losers are selected by the viewers, fans, and advertising professionals alike." According to a survey of 500 Americans conducted by InsightExpress, a marketing research firm affiliated with IPG, two out of every five people who will watch the Super Bowl tune in for the commercials

To vote for their favorite commercials, viewers are recommended to go to ADBOWL.com to pre-register. The technology provides a real-time interactive experience synchronized with the TV which allows viewers to rate the ads on a scale between one and five, with 5 being a "Touchdown," 4 "Field Goal," 3 "First Down," 2 "Punt" and 1 being a "Fumble."

ADBOWL.com will be live one-hour before kickoff. Fans can begin voting at the start of the football game once the first commercials air. In anticipation of high voter volume, the website infrastructure has been enhanced to accommodate increased traffic during the game. Last year ADBOWL received more than 167,000 votes with Fed Ex's "Castaway" commercial winning first place. It was followed by Budweiser's "Clydesdale Instant Replay" ad, and Reebok's "Terry Tate Office Linebacker" commercial received third place honors.
