GSN Launches Win-Lose Reality Comedy Series KENNY VS. SPENNY: Longtime Friends Compete For Supremacy In Such Outrageous Challenges As Who Can Stay Awake the Longest? Who Makes The Most Convincing Woman? And Who Is the Most Sane?

Hollywood, Calif., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ - GSN, the Network for Games, is delivering on its promise to bring American television audiences innovative game-related entertainment with the May 2008 debut of its newest series, Kenny VS. Spenny, produced by Blueprint Entertainment and Breakthrough Films. A fresh hybrid that blends reality, game and comedy genres into an exciting and fun-filled half hour of television, Kenny VS. Spenny stars show creators Kenny Hotz and Spencer "Spenny" Rice. GSN will premiere the new series on Thursday, March 18 at 10 PM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Rich Cronin, President and Chief Executive Officer, GSN, as part of the network's Television Critics Association presentation.

"Kenny VS. Spenny is without a doubt the funniest competition show we've ever seen," said GSN's Cronin. "The series blends the spontaneity of reality programming with the hysterical antics of two guys who are literally willing to go to any length to prove their superiority. It's unique, it's outrageous and it is funny in a way that can't be written or rehearsed. We're very excited to bring this hilarious program to American television audiences."

John Morayniss, Co-President of Blueprint Entertainment, added, "Kenny and Spenny live to eat, sleep and compete. Luckily, their outrageous rivalries make for great television."

Kenny VS. Spenny focuses on the sibling-like rivalry between these two longtime friends who first garnered attention for their feature film "Pitch," a favorite at the Toronto International Film Festival. A contemporary real-life odd couple, Spenny is a neurotic "stress case" who believes in winning by playing fair, hard work and preparation. Kenny, on the other hand, is charismatic and a self-proclaimed 'devious genius' who likes to bend the rules in order to win a challenge. These fundamental differences fuel the competition and provide some very twisted comedy.

Each weekly episode brings a new outrageous competition to life. The challenges are no laughing matter to Kenny or Spenny, however, as the result is glory and gloating for the winner and specially selected humiliation for the loser. The competitions are very eclectic and range from endurance contests -- Who can stay awake the longest? to the more sublime -- Who can sit on a cow the longest? The humiliation for the loser comes in the form of a task chosen by the winner such as streaking, eating cat food or dressing up as a toddler on the street.

Created by Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice, Kenny VS. Spenny is produced by John Morayniss, Noreen Halpern, Ira Levy, Peter Williamson and Abby Finer.

GSN, the Network for Games, is the only U.S. television network dedicated to game-related programming and interactive game playing. As the industry leader in interactivity, GSN features 84 hours per week of interactive programming, which allows viewers a chance to win prizes by playing along with GSN's televised games via gsn.com. Reaching 54 million Nielsen homes, GSN is distributed in the U.S. through all major cable systems and satellite providers. The network is jointly owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Liberty Media Corporation. For further media information, visit GSN's press website at corp.gsn.com.
