Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers Are Tapped as Co-Hosts of Nickelodeon's 17TH Annual Kids' Choice Awards Live Telecast Saturday, April 3, 2004.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ - Former Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Blimp Award winners Mike Myers (Austin Powers: Goldmember, 2003) and Cameron Diaz (Best Burp, 2002) will join forces as the new hosts of Nickelodeon's 17th Annual Kids' Choice Awards Saturday, April 3 (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT), when kids honor their favorites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television. It's the night Hollywood's biggest stars will get Nick'd in a no-holds-barred event airing live from Los Angeles (tape delayed for West Coast).

"Kids love Cameron and Mike not only because they're superstars, but for their unique kid-like energy and humor," said Cyma Zarghami, President of Nickelodeon Networks. "We know our audience will be as thrilled as we are to welcome them back to Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards as the new hosts."

Also a nominee for Favorite Movie Actress, Diaz affirmed, "Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards rock. I've had a blast every time I've gone to the show, and I'm looking forward to hanging with the kids and hosting with Mike this year."

The feature film Finding Nemo topped the list of kids' favorites this year, garnering three nominations for Favorite Movie, Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie (Ellen DeGeneres) and Favorite Video Game. Pairs of nods went to Ashton Kutcher for Favorite Movie Actor and Favorite TV Actor; Friends for Favorite TV Show and Favorite TV Actress (Jennifer Aniston); Daddy Daycare and Bruce Almighty for Favorite Movie and Favorite Male Actor (respectively Eddie Murphy and Jim Carrey); SpongeBob SquarePants for Favorite Cartoon and Favorite Video Game; Harry Potter for Favorite Book Series and Favorite Video Game; All That and Lizzie McGuire for Favorite TV Show and Favorite TV Actress (respectively Jamie Lynn Spears, Hilary Duff); LA Lakers and Chicago Cubs for Favorite Sports Team and Favorite Male Athlete (respectively Shaquille O'Neal and Sammy Sosa); and Beyonce for Favorite Female Singer.

Kids will be able to vote both on and off air. Beginning March 8, kids can vote online on Nick.com, where more than 20 million kids cast their votes for their favorites last year. In addition, surprise awards will be announced during the show. Beginning March 24 through March 28, kids can also vote by calling a toll-free number displayed on the screen during programming on Nickelodeon.
