NEW YORK, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ - Kicking off a brand new year, VH1 greenlights two new series, "Bands Reunited" and "Best Week Ever." Have you ever wondered what happened to the members of some of your favorite bands post-breakup? Well, VH1 has filed its own "missing persons" report with "Bands Reunited." Premiering on Monday, January 19 at 9:00 PM,* with new episodes premiering every day that week, the series will chronicle the effort to reunite some of music's most popular bands, ask them to discard the baggage from their past, and get back on stage to play for one-night only in front of a venue full of faithful fans. Hosted by VH1's on-air personality Aamer Haleem, VH1 has traveled the globe to track down the band members of Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Flock of Seagulls, Klymaxx, and Berlin just to name a few. If "I Love the 80s" had a baby, "Best Week Ever" would be the child. Bringing the spirit of VH1's hit series to current events, "Best Week Ever," premiering on Friday, January 23 at 11:00 pm is a weekly half-hour show that provides a free-wheeling and funny review of the week's most entertaining news and pop culture. The series will feature comics, actors and musicians providing their provocative, amusing and slightly twisted takes on the high (and low) points of the big and small stories of the past week. "Best Week Ever" will premiere subsequent half-hour episodes every Friday at the same time. Visit VH-1.com for more information. |
