Blessed with what the New York Times describes as a "beautiful countertenor," singer Art Garfunkel has made an indelible mark on the music world as both a solo artist and half of the unrivaled Simon & Garfunkel. Together they are revered for such hits as Mrs. Robinson, Scarborough Fair, The Sound of Silence, The Boxer and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Todd Rundgren is universally regarded as the most influential and innovative artist of his generation. For the past 35 years, he has consistently been on the cutting edge as a musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and multimedia artist. After his success with Something/Anything, he went on to record two more ground breaking psychedelic albums A Wizard/ A True Star and the self-titled masterpiece Todd. During that same year he formed the progressive rock band called Utopia. British singer, musician, songwriter and producer Joe Jackson has flirted with 1940's jump and swing music, post-punk New Wave and symphonic music. He won a Grammy for his classically based album Symphony No. 1. Some of his most memorable hits include Sunday Papers, Fools in Love and Is She Really Going Out With Him? Legendary virtuoso sitarist, composer, teacher and writer, Ravi Shankar is renowned throughout the world for his pioneering work in bringing Indian music to the West. He won his third Grammy for Full Circle/Live At Carnegie Hall 2000 in the Best Album in World Music category. Over many decades Shankar has concertized on the world's greatest stages sharing his love of music with people from all countries. Their memorable melodies and complex interplay between nylon and steel string guitars helped to establish them as leaders in the emerging contemporary instrumental field.
