UNIVERSAL CITYWALK BRINGS THE CARIBBEAN FLAIR AND ESSENCE OF REGGAE TO THE 5TH ANNUAL BOB MARLEY REGGAE FESTIVAL FEBRUARY 14-15, 2004

Ziggy Marley, Elephant Man and More Mark the Celebration Of the Life and Memory of the Legendary Father of Reggae, Bob Marley

ORLANDO, FLORIDA - It's soca time and the celebration for legendary reggae king, Bob Marley, at Universal CityWalk's 5th Annual Bob Marley Reggae Festival returns full of Jamaican culture, ambience, and energy. Soulful reggae beats fill the streets of CityWalk as guests get ready to stir it up Marley style with the high-energy sounds of Elephant Man, Spearhead, and Pato Banton. Ziggy Marley hits the stage to pay tribute to his father during this two-day event featuring authentic Caribbean foods and arts February 14-15, 2004.

Guests can purchase a one-day ticket for $23 plus tax, or a two-day ticket for $30 plus tax and enjoy the festival from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. both days. Kids 12 and under receive $5 off admission with a paid adult admission. Also featured is the "Taste of Caribbean" which highlights the most popular Caribbean cuisine from Jerk Chicken Wings with Cucumber Sauce to Beef Patties with Chipolte Ketchup for guests to enjoy. Throughout the festival are also authentic African, Jamaican and West Indian arts, jewelry, and carvings from native Caribbean artists.

The festival kicks-off Saturday, February 14 with an eclectic array of music seasoned with R&B and hip-hop rhythms as Rita Marley sets the mood by welcoming guests to the festival. Renowned recording artist Elephant Man, one of the hottest dancehall artists of the year, hits the stage with his current top 20 hit, Pon De River, Pon De Bank from his latest CD, Good 2 Go. Born in Seaview Gardens, Jamaica, this enthusiastic performer continues to astound concert- goers with his individuality and outlandish style and energy. Having performed with such legendary artists as Sting and UB40, Pato Banton will also take center stage with his jamming upbeat tunes. With his crossover #1 hit in the UK charts, Baby Come Back, Pato's success has yet to simmer down. He has teamed up with Sting again to perform another top 20 hit on the UK charts, Spirits In A Material World, which was included in the Jim Carey movie, Ace Ventura-When Nature Calls.

Multi-Grammy award winner and international mega-performer, Ziggy Marley performs on Sunday. The eldest son of reggae patriarch, Bob Marley, Ziggy showcases his many talents through his latest solo album, Dragonfly. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Ziggy has developed his own soulful sounds with a combination of blues, R&B, hip-hop and roots reggae to create the hit songs, Tomorrow People, and Tumbling Down.

Spearhead concludes the festival with their socially powerful style that evokes a keen sense of passion with its rich blend of rap, reggae, soul and a touch of political awareness. The band's album, Stolen Moments: Red Hot & Cool was voted as TIME Magazine's 1994 Record of the Year and continues to spread social awareness throughout the hip-hop communities.
