Tony Hawk’s Skate Bash at Universal Studios

Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk returns to Universal this January – this time to Universal Studios – with an all-new, high energy, action sports show, Tony Hawk’s Grand Jam. Guests will get a first hand look as Tony and some of the top action sports athletes from the worlds of skateboarding, freestyle BMX and Moto-X perform a choreographed show emceed by BMX legend Rick Thorne, all amidst the thrills and excitement of the Universal Studios theme park.Mardi Gras at Universal Studios
Saturday nights from February 11 – April 22, 2006
On Saturday nights in February, March and April, Universal Studios Florida celebrates the spirit of New Orleans with the annual Mardi Gras celebration. In addition to weekly concerts featuring national acts including Bonnie Raitt and Hall & Oates, Universal Orlando will showcase bands and artists directly from New Orleans each night of the event as part of Universal’s “Celebrate The Music of New Orleans” program. Guests will be ready to catch some beads with Universal’s Mardi Gras parade, featuring hundreds of costumed characters, stilt walkers, and festively decorated floats. All-new specially designed haunted houses, inescapable scare zones, and hundreds of street performers await those who enter fright-fest, invading Universal Orlando on select nights throughout the month of October.

CityWalk, a 30-acre entertainment complex with themed restaurants, nightclubs and shops, will host one of Orlando’s hottest New Year’s Eve parties. The evening will feature live performances by national acts, an expansive gourmet buffet, a champagne toast and live entertainment at its nightclubs, including the groove, an electrifying dance club, CityJazz, a hip jazz venue, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, and others.
