Maitland
Art Center's fall term begins the week of September 8, 2003. The Maitland
Art Center will hold art classes for adults and children at the historic
center of artistic activity and creativity in Central Florida. Founded
in 1938 by visionary artist and architect André Smith, the Art
Center was originally called the "Research Studio," and the
traditions of artistic excellence, creativity, and experimentation continue
in its public programs and community art classes, with professional artists
and craftspeople offering outstanding instruction in its intimate studios.
Several new classes will be offered this term, in addition to the traditional
disciplines of painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramic arts. |
