ORLANDO, FL – [December 14, 2005]  Every great song, like every great movie, tells a unique story.  But it takes a gifted performer like Jim Brickman to weave moments from Hollywood’s timeless films and its rich musical heritage into an unforgettable concert experience.

Jim Brickman has already established a solid reputation as America’s most popular romantic piano artist with the enormous success of the popular song hits he has composed himself, like “Valentine,“ “The Gift,” “Love of My Life,” “Simple Things” and “Peace.“ But in his new concerts, the charismatic piano sensation has added a magical new dimension to his repertoire with selections from The Disney Songbook, his latest album on Walt Disney Records.  This exciting collaboration between Jim Brickman and Disney not only created fresh interpretations of favorite songs from classic Disney animated films, but a brand new Jim Brickman hit song, “Beautiful,” inspired by one of the most-loved Walt Disney films, Cinderella.

“The unique opportunity to partner with two of America’s premier cultural institutions was a magical experience,” said Brickman. “The chance to take a new look at Disney’s rich musical history was a pleasure for me and it was also an honor to bring the Disney songbook to PBS, which has its own incredible tradition of innovative TV programming. The creative collaboration with these two artistic giants was one of the highlights of my career.”
Combining his own popular hits with his sparkling new interpretations of the easily-recognizable Disney favorites offers a romantic and engaging night of entertainment that will delight the entire family with a kaleidoscope of musical styles, artfully weaving many of his most popular hits, a selection of vibrant hymns from his recent Grace CD, and dazzling selections from The Disney Songbook album.

Jim Brickman’s passion for the power of music transforms the concert hall into a dynamic entertainment experience that takes audiences on a live, illuminating journey as thrilling and memorable as any motion picture while honoring the lyrical history of Hollywood’s past.
